A man who pleaded no-contest to 10 counts of child pornography possession and one count of criminal use of a communications facility was sentenced this morning in Indiana County Court.
Indiana County District Attorney Robert Manzi said 41-year-old Eric Palmer was ordered to serve five years of probation and must register as a sex offender under Meghan’s Law for the next 15 years. Authorities received a tip in May of last year of someone downloading explicit images to a Google account belonging to Palmer and a search was executed of his home and devices. While he initially said the charges were false, police did find child pornography in a hidden folder on his computer.
Manzi applauded the work of the State Police and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Computer Crimes unit, saying their thorough investigation resulted in a conviction on every count he faced.
