Indiana County Court of Common Pleas has a full schedule of plea and sentencing hearings today. Among them is a woman charged in an animal cruelty case.
The plea court hearing for Dallas Lailonie, who was listed as homeless on the police report, is for two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals-torture in connection with an investigation that started on November 2nd. Police were called out to a home on North 2nd street and discovered the carcass of a dog that had died due to neglect, and two additional dogs showed similar signs. Two others, Zachary and Krista Yeager, each pleaded to one count of cruelty to animals and are serving a year of probation.
Also due in court today is Eric Palmer. The 41-year-old Indiana man is charged with 10 counts of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communications facility for an investigation that started last September. He pleaded no-contest on April 29th to all charges. Police said they were alerted in May of 2024 of illicit images uploaded to his Google account, and it was traced to an IP address at a home where he reportedly lived. After telling police the accusations were false, a search of his computer turned the images up in a hidden folder.
