The Heritage Conference opened its 2025 football season on Friday night, highlighted by Ed Dalton’s return to Indiana County football as the head coach of the River Valley Panthers. The Panthers made his debut a memorable one by blanking the Penns Manor Comets, 33-0, at Panthers Stadium.

Rounding out the Heritage Conference action, Portage defeated West Shamokin, 18-7, and Conemaugh Township handed Purchase Line a 29-6 loss.
