Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz made a rehab start for the Altoona Curve on Saturday and hit the go-ahead triple in the fifth inning to lead a come-from-behind 4-2 win over Reading. Esmerlyn Valdez and Konnor Griffin both had RBI singles and Griffin stole two bases, giving him 62 on the season for Bradenton, Greensboro, and Altoona.
Termarr Johnson and Kervin Pichardo both had two hits for the Curve.
Cruz is recovering from a concussion. He was 1-for-4 and played center field.
The series wraps up tonight with Dominic Perachi on the mound for Altoona.
