Altoona opens a six-game road trip to Erie tonight, playing the team they will meet in the first round of the best-of-three Eastern League playoffs next week. Po-Yu Chen will start for the Curve tonight.
The Curve and SeaWolves will play their playoff opener next Tuesday at Altoona, then play at Erie on Thursday and again, if necessary, on Friday.
The Northeast Division playoff participants have not yet been settled. First-half champion Binghampton will play either Somerset or Hartford. Somerset leads that race by three-and-a-half games.
