The latest drought monitor shows nearly 50% of the forecast area is now within a D1 (Moderate) or D2 (Severe) drought. At the Pittsburgh airport, only 4.24″ of rain has fallen since 7/1, which is the 4th lowest over that calendar stretch on record. Rain chances will remain limited over the next 7 days.
