The annual campaign supports breast cancer work at IRMC. Over the years, the Women’s Imaging Center has been able to update and upgrade technology available to patients. The money raised in the 2025 campaign will go towards the purchase of a Magseed probe that will allow for precise surgery to remove cancer.
Indiana Healthcare Foundation Executive Director Heather Reed said that this year’s kickoff was record setting with over 200 attendees and seven major sponsors. She was grateful for their support.
One of the honored guests for this year’s party was breast cancer survivor Sue Hewitt, who talked about why it was important to share her story. She said it was important to remind people that breast cancer care is available locally.
Upcoming events for the campaign include Bocce for Breast Cancer on September 20th and the annual Love of Life 5K on October 18th.
