At a work session Tuesday night, Indiana Borough Council approved an ordinance connected with the wastewater treatment plant upgrade project.
The mandate will authorize the incurrence of debt in the amount of $4,829,635 in one revenue note. Borough manager Nicole Sipos talks about the upgrades for the plant.
The debt will be covered by a low-interest PennVEST loan.
Council also approved expanding the footprint for the upcoming 8th Street Design Charette on September 26th. The workshop will now include Church Street between 8th and 9th Streets, which will give more space for pedestrian safety.
