The district court schedule has several preliminary hearings on it today, including one for a man accused of sexually assaulting a sleeping woman.
Court documents show 58-year-old Joseph Zemba of Blairsville is charged with aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault for an incident on May 2nd of this year. State Police said on that day, he and the victim were socializing at an apartment in Burrell Township when she passed out. When she came to, she discovered she was in a state of undress. Later on, she heard rumors that Zemba was sharing an indecent photo from that day. Police searched her Google Nest account and found a video of him removing her clothes and having sexual relations while she was unconscious.
Bail was set at $20,000. The hearing will be held before Judge Robert Bell Sr.
