While Friday night was a busy one for local authorities, the Indiana Area Collaborative Team reported no major incidents or unmanageable gatherings for the first night of Homecoming weekend.
IUP Police reported nine calls for routine service, three traffic stops, two welfare checks and several other minor incidents. Indiana Borough Police reported charges of retail theft, public drunkenness and underage drinking along with an increase in foot and vehicle traffic. State police reported nothing significant. Citizen’s Ambulance did assist on one call for help as a woman was trying to climb a fence on campus.
Increased patrols from Indiana Borough, State Police and other first responders will continue through the weekend.
