A man accused of keeping authorities in a standoff in Coral in November of 2024 was sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court.
Court documents show 46-year-old Jeffrey Renwick pleaded guilty yesterday to a misdemeanor reckless endangerment charge. A disorderly conduct charge was not prosecuted as part of the plea while a charge of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure was dismissed at the lower court. State police say on November 14th, he fired multiple gunshots in an unknown direction then went into his house as his neighbors sheltered in place. After troopers found several shell casings on the ground at his home, they talked with him through an open window. He refused to comply with orders, and the SERT team was brought in. A few hours after the shooting, Renwick surrendered and left the home.
Renwick was ordered to serve three months to a day less than two years in Indiana county Jail, but was paroled immediately due to time served.
Also sentenced yesterday was 46-year-old Amy Lynch of McConnellsburg for a charge of retail theft. On top of fines and court costs, she was placed on probation for 18 months.
