Last night, the Center Township Supersivors said that they would do their best not to raise taxes as part of next year’s budget.
Vice chairman Paul Colgan said while that would be the mission, there is a price hike that has become a concern.
During the meeting, supervisors approved a bid for a sprinkler system to be installed at First Commonwealth Bank Field. The money will come from a grant received by the Homer-Center Athletic Boosters. The winning bid was from EH Griffith, Inc. out of Pittsburgh at a cost of $35,749. Supervisors also tabled accepting bids for handicapped seating at the field.
