Things ran smoothly for first responders Saturday night into Sunday morning for IUP’s Homecoming weekend.
Overall, there were no major out-of-control gatherings reported by the Indiana Area Collaborative Team. IUP police did note the heavier-than-normal foot and vehicular traffic in and around campus and had 14 calls for routine service and arrested two non-students on underage drinking charges. Indiana Borough Police reported three non-IUP students were arrested for public drunkenness, but a peaceful night overall. White township officials did get a report of a noisy gathering around 8:00 Saturday night.
I-ACT also reported a record number of attendees for the Homecoming Parade on Saturday morning and thanked the Indiana Varsity Hockey Team for the cleanup after the parade. IUP’s Greek life volunteers performed cleanup duties on Sunday.
