A pre-trial conference is scheduled for today for a man charged with burglarizing a convenience store in Commodore in 2024.
State Police charged 42-year-old Paul Llewellyn of Marion Center with burglary, criminal mischief, possession of an instrument of crime and criminal trespass in connection with the burglary on February 2nd of last year at Betty Lou’s II . Troopers say he shot out a side window at 4:11 AM with a shotgun and climbed inside. He fled the scene prior to the arrival of police, who were notified by an alarm set off at the business. While extensive damage was reported, nothing was taken in the burglary.
His trial was originally scheduled to begin on September 22nd, but the trial was continued. No word on the reason for the delay.
Llewellyn is also due in district court today on charges of theft by deception and receiving stolen property for a case that goes back to March 10th of this year.
