CATHOLIC SCHOOLS
Bishop Caroll Catholic High School has decided to terminate its football, wrestling, and cheerleading co-op agreements with Bishop McCort, effective at the conclusion of the 2025 seasons.
The primary reason for dissolving the arrangements is the distance between Ebensburg, where Bishop Carroll is located, and Johnstown, the home of Bishop McCort. That limits the participation of Bishop Carroll athletes. The recent PIAA ruling allowing private school students to participate in athletics in their home school district when it is not offered in their private school also factored into the decision.
The McCort/Carroll soccer co-op will remain in place for 2026.
