Governor Josh Shapiro said that he is ready to pass the $50.25 billion spending plan recently passed by the state house.
In a statement last Friday, Governor Shapiro said that he would be ready to sign the budget once it hits his desk, which would require passage from the PA Senate. Senate Majority Leader Joe Pittman called the proposed budget from House Democrats not fiscally manageable and said it would jeopardize taxpayers.
The state house is scheduled to return to Harrisburg on October 27th. The Senate will return to session on October 20th and Senator Pittman says they are on 24 hours notice as needed.
