Five Heritage Conference football games will start at 7 pm on Friday this weekend as usual, but in another change made this week, one game will be played this Thursday.
Due again to the unavailability of PIAA officials on Friday, the West Shamokin Wolves will visit the Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays tomorrow night for a 7:00 PM kickoff.
Both teams are seeking their first win, but West Shamokin will be trying to snap a 20-game conference losing streak. The Wolves’ last win came against Homer-Center, 27-24, on Oct. 13, 2023. Conemaugh Valley’s last win was a 32-0 shutout of the Wolves the last time the teams met on Oct. 11 of last year.
The Blue Jays have given up the most points, 369, in the conference through eight games, while the Wolves have scored the fewest at 40.
The Northern Cambria vs. Penns Manor game was moved from Friday to Saturday last weekend for the same reason.
