Four women were honored for their leadership, community service, and mentorship at this year’s Emerging Women Leaders Luncheon in Indiana County.
Laurie Kuzneski has been named the 2025 Indiana County ATHENA Leadership Award recipient. Kuzneski, nominated by the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce, is president of Kuzneski Insurance Group — the first woman to hold that position in the company’s history. She’s known for mentoring women and serving in numerous leadership roles, including vice chair of IUP’s Council of Trustees and chair of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce board.
Kuzneski talked about what an honor it was to receive the award.
The 2025 ATHENA Young Professional Award went to Felicia Daniel, Assistant Vice President and Training and Development Manager at S&T Bank. Daniel, who also co-owns multiple local businesses, was recognized for her dedication to youth mentorship, community service, and foster care advocacy.
Gabrielle Isenberg, a senior at Indiana High School, received the Spadafora Family ATHENA Scholarship for her academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement. Fellow ATHENA Club member Anna Jane Carnovale was named scholarship finalist.
Advisor of the Indiana Athena Club Deanne Magolis talked about how events like these inspire the younger generations.
The awards were presented Tuesday during the annual luncheon at the Indiana Country Club, attended by more than 230 community members and students.
The ATHENA program recognizes individuals who demonstrate professional excellence and open doors of opportunity for women.
