The Steelers official injury report is due this afternoon as they prepare for tomorrow night’s game against the Bengals in Cincinnati. Yesterday, Calvin Austin III and Miles Killebrew both missed practice. Austin has a shoulder injury and also missed last Sunday’s game. Killebrew suffered a knee injury in that game, a 23-9 win over the Browns.
The quarterbacks tomorrow will be Aaron Rodgers for the Steelers and Joe Flacco for the Bengals, who have a combined age of 81. Rodgers says they’re both old-school.
Rodgers says he and Flacco are able to play in their forties because they stay in shape, but also because they know the position.
Rodgers says his body is responding to his work with his trainer.
Perhaps a sign that Miles Killebrew may be out long term…the Steelers yesterday hosted former All-Pro special teamer George Odum at their headquarters on the South Side. The 31-year-old made first-team All-Pro while with the Colts in 2020 and second team All-Pro with the 49ers in 2022.
