Sidney Crosby passed Steve Yzerman on the all-time NHL assist list on Tuesday in Anaheim. With 1,064 assists, Crosby is 16 helpers short of Adam Oates for 8th place.
The Penguins’ health report usually involves players, but today it’s in the broadcast booth. TV play-by-play man Josh Getzoff is ill and will not be able to work the game tonight, so Joe Brand will step over from radio, and Phil Bourque will call the game on U92, with Jason Seidling on color. Getzoff may miss Saturday’s game in San Jose as well.
