For the first time in a few years, a gas station in Indiana County has the price for regular unleaded gas below $3.00 a gallon.
Both the Sheetz and the Kwik Fill stations in Clymer are reporting $2.98 a gallon prices this morning. Accent Fuels in Homer City is also under that threshold at $2.99. That is well under the average cost for a gallon in Indiana County, which is $3.30 according to Triple-A. Gas prices in Indiana are hovering around $3.29 and $3.39. The Homer City Sheetz and Kwik Fill are at $3.29 a gallon, while prices in Blairsville are $3.39 according to Gasbuddy.com.
The lowest gas price average in our region is in Jefferson County with Triple-A reporting a $3.10 a gallon average. The highest is Armstrong at $3.46. Warren has the highest average across the state at $3.58 with the lowest average is Union County with $2.95.
The statewide average this morning is $3.23 and the national average is $3.05. Gas prices have been on the downswing as gas demand falls to a four-month low.
