Multiple ramps on Route 422 in White Township will be closed at various times this week.
This is part of work being done by Derry Construction Company of Latrobe. From today to Wednesday, the Philadelphia Street off-ramp at Watts Hill on 422 East will be closed along with the Westbound 422 off ramp to Philadelphia Street. Drivers on Philadelphia Street will use 422 East to the Oakland Avenue Exit, turn left onto Route 286, then turn left onto Indian Springs Road, then stay straight as it goes to Ben Franklin Road, then back onto Philadelphia Street. Motorists taking 422 West will head to the Oakland Avenue Exit, turn Right onto 286, then left onto Indian Springs Road, straight to Ben Franklin Road and then back onto Philadelphia Street.
The other closure is Wednesday through Friday for the Route 422 Eastbound on-ramp from Business 422 and the on-ramp to Route 422 West. To detour motorists will travel Business Route 422, turn right onto Ben Franklin Road, stay straight to Indian Springs Road turn right onto Route 286, and take the Route 422/Route 56 Kittanning/Shelocta exit onto Route 422 westbound.
The entire project is expected to wrap up in December of this year.
