At the District 6 cross country championships, Marion Center won the boys Class A championship and United was runner-up. Both teams qualified for the state meet next week. The United girls finished second behind Richland in the girls Class A race. Marion Center finished second behind Central Cambria in the girls AA race .
Marion Center’s Brooke Slade and Macie Miller qualified as individuals in Class AA.
Purchase Line’s Payton Wannett and Bristol Warren qualified as individuals in Class A and United’s Olivia Henning would have, but she had already qualified with her team. Other United team members who will be running at the PIAA state meet next week in Shippensburg are Payton Kolarik, Aaliyah Long, Sara Gornick, Katerina Dishong, Hope Fisher, and Jada Walls.
For the boys, Penns Manor’s Trevor Cameron and River Valley’s Skyler Lewber qualified as individuals in Class A. Marion Center’s Seth Boring, Carson Wells, and Adam Ryer, along with United’s Matthew Beaver, Kaz Stokes, and Luke Shepler would have qualified as individuals but were already qualified with their teams. Other Marion Center team qualifiers include Hayden Fox, Colin Sacco, Eric Slovinsky, and Colton Blazavich, Other United team qualifiers are Keydun Tomalson, Hayden Hill, Syson Oleksa, and Benjamin Gornick.
