Charges were held for court for a Johnstown man in connection with a domestic incident earlier this month in Center Township.
Court documents show 19-year-old Tanyen Svencer is charged in connection with an incident at 12:03 AM on October 8th. Police were called out to an active domestic violence incident in the area of Red Barn Road allegedly involving Spencer and a woman. While en route, police said he and the victim made their way to the Sheetz Parking Lot near Homer City. Police spotted his vehicle and Svencer allegedly ran away from officers but then complied with police.
The victim claimed that he went to her brother’s house and got into a verbal argument over relationship issues and assaulted her. He also allegedly drank alcohol before the incident.
He faces misdemeanor charges of simple assault, evading arrest or detention on foot and DUI-Unsafe Driving and summary charges of harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Court officials said he did not show up for the hearing, so the charges were held in absentia.
