Preliminary hearings are scheduled today for Indiana County’s District Courts and while many are DUI or Drug Related, there is a case of assault on the docket.
That hearing is for 19-year-old Tanyen Svencer of Johnstown. He faces misdemeanor charges of simple assault, evading arrest or detention on foot and DUI-Unsafe Driving and summary charges of harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness for an incident on October 8th. Bail was set at $10,000 at his arraignment hearing.
Another person set for a preliminary hearing today is 50-year-old Arthur McGuire, Jr. of Saltsburg. He is charged with felony forgery, misdemeanor counts of identity theft, theft by unlawful taking and by deception and improper use of an access device along with a summary charge of bad checks for an investigation on August 20th.
Both hearings are scheduled to be held before District Judge Robert Bell Sr.
