A senior expo is scheduled for today at the S&T Bank Arena at the White Township Recreation Complex.
The event, co-sponsored by Senator Joe Pittman and Representatives Jim Struzzi and Brian Smith, will provide information to seniors and caregivers on a number of topics, including health care, insurance, fire safety, nutrition and exercise and other areas. The event will also host a prescription drug collection, where people can turn in unused and unwanted drugs, including over-the-counter medicines, liquids, creams and ointments, nasal sprays, inhalers and pet medicines. They will not take IV solutions, syringes, injectables and needles, along with any illicit and illegal substances. Organizers are asking people to remove any personal information from containers.
The expo runs from 10-1 and is free and open to the public.
