At Steelers practice yesterday, tight end Pat Freiermuth was back after sitting out Wednesday with a sore quad muscle. Center Zach Frazier returned but was listed as limited by his calf muscle injury.
Cornerback Darius Slay was absent to attend to “a personal matter”, according to the team. Guard Isaac Seumalo sat out again with a pectoral injury. Linebacker Cole Hoclomb was absent due to illness and safety Jabril Peppers was limited with a quad. Wide receiver Scotty Miller missed again, after having finger surgery. And Corey Trice Jr., the cornerback who returned from a knee injury Wednesday after sitting out since training camp, injured the knee again.
After officially joining the Steelers in a trade with New England yesterday morning, safety Kyle Dugger put in a full practice in the afternoon and said he was ready to play. He missed last week’s patriots game with a reported knee injury.
The Baltimore Ravens inched closer to the Steelers in the AFC North standings. Lamar Jackson returned to the Ravens’ lineup last night and led them to a 28-6 win over Miami. Baltimore is now 3-5. The Steelers are 4-3 heading into Sunday’s game against Indianapolis.
