IUP alumni Tim and Deb Cejka have been honored with the 2025 Keepers of the Flame Award from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
The 1973 graduates and Westmoreland County natives were recognized for their long-standing leadership, generosity, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
IUP President Dr. Michael Driscoll called the Cejkas “longtime supporters of IUP and its mission to change the world one student at a time.” The couple has played major roles in campus initiatives, including the creation of the Crimson Scholars Circle program and support for IUP’s proposed college of osteopathic medicine.
Driscoll said their leadership helps ensure access to education and health care for underrepresented and rural communities.
The award was presented during the 2025 PASSHE Summit, held virtually and at PennWest Clarion.
