Audrey Joann Donahey, 64, of Commodore, PA passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.
The daughter of Donald R. and Dorothy A. (Strong) Donahey, she was born on January 18, 1961 at Fort Monmouth, NJ.
Audrey was a graduate of Purchase Line High School.
After working as a clerk at the Indiana County Courthouse for over a decade, Audrey had recently retired in August 2025. Prior to her employment at the courthouse, Audrey had worked at the former Levinson’s Department Store in Clymer, PA and at Waldenbooks and the Borders bookstore in the Indiana Mall.
Well organized and efficient with details, Audrey loved planning and scheduling vacations for she and her sister, Tammy. While they traveled to locations as far away as Alaska and Hawaii, their favorite location to visit together was Walt Disney World.
In addition to Audrey’s love of reading, she was fond of creating knitting and cross stitching projects. She knit hats and sweaters for babies and children for a charity that shipped the clothing to overseas locations.
When Audrey took on a task or project, she committed herself to making sure every step was in place and in completing the job well.
Most of all, Audrey loved spending time with her sister and best friend, Tammy.
Audrey is survived by her sister, Tammy Kay Donahey of Commodore, PA and her dear friends, who were like family to her.
Audrey was preceded in death by her mother on January 13, 1968; her father on June 22, 2015; her maternal grandmother, Sarah “Sadie” Strong and her maternal aunts and uncles.
