IRMC Park will play host to the distribution of 100 bikes to children in need today.
Those bicycles were purchased by CJ Spadafora of Colonial Motor Mart and Colonial Toyota. He said the inspiration behind the giveaway was to spread some joy to kids who may not get much for the holidays.
Spadafora said that this was a great way to give back to the community.
The bike giveaway is in coordination with Indiana County Children and Youth Services, the Care Center of Indiana County, the Community Guidance Center, Justiceworks Youthcare, the Salvation Army and the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce. The recipients were registered for this giveaway in advance by the participating groups.
