Soft rock pioneer Dash Crofts is dead at age 85. Crofts rose to popularity as half of the duo Seals and Crofts, which helped define the sound of “soft rock” in the 1970s with hits like “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl” and “Get Closer.”
The duo’s producer, Louie Shelton, was first to announce his death with a post on social media, and TMZ further reported that a family member said Crofts died from complications following heart surgery on March 25th.
