Lois Joanne Wood, 75 of Indiana, died Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born in Johnstown, July 29, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Robert Benson and Irma (Ling) Benson. She was the wife of Richard H. Wood, whom she married, October 31, 1970.
Lois was a graduate of Johnstown High School. She attended services at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Indiana where she enjoyed attending the S.A.L.T. Group lunches. She was an avid Penn State football fan who tried to watch every game. She also liked to watch the many birds, squirrels and other wildlife that visited her bird feeder.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her uncle, Ronald Ling of Cleveland, OH, several cousins and by her local friends and neighbors who reside in Indiana.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and by her siblings: Robert Benson, Jr. and Sharon Benson.
