Indiana Borough Police have identified the second suspect involved in the shooting last March.
Police chief Justin Schawl said that a warrant has been issued for 20-year-old Phillipe Brown of Pittsburgh on charges of firearm possession violation and carrying a firearm without a license. Police say he exchanged gunfire with 22-year-old Tymere Johnson of Clairton in an incident in the area of West Avenue and School Street at 10:00 PM on March 21st. Johnson was found after police made a traffic stop on Route 119 minutes after the shooting. No injuries were reported in the incident but a vehicle was damaged. He faces charges of prohibited possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, reckless endangerment and receiving stolen property.
As of now, the firearm that Brown used has not been recovered, and Brown is believed to be in the Pittsburgh area. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-349-2121. His photo will be released later today on the police department’s Facebook page.
