Akron beat Altoona, 4-3 for the second straight game, earning a split of the series, three games apiece.
Will Taylor broke up a no-hitter with a sixth inning home run to put the Curve up 1-0 but the RubberDucks scored four times off the Altoona bullpen in the bottom of the inning to go up 4-1. Keiner Delgado hit a two-run home run in the eighth for the Curve, but they could not get a man on base in the ninth and took the loss.
Kyle Robinson threw five shutout innings for the Curve to start the game, helped along in the fifth when catcher Easton Carmichael caught a runner wandering off third base as a teammate stole second.
The Curve will open a six-game homestand with Chesapeake tomorrow night.
