Christopher John Puzak, 37, of Blairsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026. Born November 17, 1988, Chris was the son of Joyce and John Puzak of Blairsville.
Chris attended Blairsville High School and was most recently employed as a member of Local #432 of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He enjoyed working with all things mechanical, all the way from remote control cars to motorcycles. He could commonly be found catching up with a Pittsburgh Penguins game or playing with family pets. His favorite hobby, though, was early morning fishing with his dad.
Chris is survived by his loving mother, Joyce Obstarczyk Puzak, and devoted father, John Puzak (Linda); brothers Joshua of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Nicholas (Sarah) of Blairsville; and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in passing by paternal grandmother Helen Libengood and maternal grandparents Walter “Turk” and Helen “Linny” Obstarczyk.
The family will receive friends and family at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, PA 15717 on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 5-7 PM. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chris’s honor to the Indiana County Humane Society, 191 Airport Road, Indiana, PA 15701, to reflect his love of spending time with the canine members of the family. The family would also wish to offer sincere appreciation to the staffs of Latrobe Area Hospital and UPMC Montefiore for their excellent care of our dear Christopher.
