For the first time in 14 years, a steady rain dampened but did not cancel the annual Red Knights’ Teddy Bear Fun Ride.
The bad weather may have affected attendance for the annual run that benefits Renda Media’s Teddy Bear Fund Drive, but Red Knights’ President David Crane said that the weather did break up later on and gave the participants a great ride afterwards.
Crane said that they decided to do the run in the rain anyway as a way to show support for the kids who are sick.
Proceeds from yesterday’s run benefitted child health care efforts at IRMC and the Free Care Fund of Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. A grand total for this year’s fundraiser will be announced at a later date.
