Margaret L. (Cummins) Busija, 95 of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at her home. She was born April 25, 1931 in Washington Twp., PA, the daughter of the late George Cummins and Annie (Carnahan) Cummins.
She was a member of the Hopewell Church. Margaret had worked at the former Hills Department Store and was an Indiana Gazette Reporter. She was a member of the Woodman of the World. Margaret was a former Girl Scout Leader, member of the District United Methodist Women and taught ceramics.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan McAfoose, Blairsville, PA; son, Richard M. Busija & wife Kim, Blairsville, PA; son, Ronald Busija, Blairsville, PA and son, Steven S. Busija & wife Karen, Blairsville, PA; grandchildren: Lisa Kline, Melanie Bowser, Kristy Busija, USAF- Scott D. Busija and Steven Busija; 7 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Susie Cummins, OH; several nieces & nephews, and her dog, Buddy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph D. Busija, Sr. in 2002; son, Joseph David Busija, Jr. died in 2009; daughter, Joanne Hileman died in 2022 and brothers: Albert, Clyde, Wayne, Carl & Donald Cummins.
The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 4-7 PM and also Saturday from 10-11 AM. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM with Pastor Bill Hebenthal officiating. Interment will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hopewell Church, 150 Hopewell Church Road, Blairsville, PA 15717.
