Carl E. Elkin, 71, of Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Beacon Ridge Indiana.
He was born June 19, 1955 to Bruce and Thelma (Geer) Elkin in Indiana.
Carl was a graduate of the Indiana High School. He worked as a coal miner and later, as a warehouse manager for S and T Bank. He was a member of UMWA #1412, Red Barn Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed watching dirt track racing at Blanket Hill Speedway and other local tracks. He especially like sitting under the canopy in his front yard, watching the wildlife. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda S. (Rice) Elkin, Indiana, a daughter, Tonya Yount (Scott), Millerstown, two grandchildren, Ashlyne Ramer (Austin), Taylor Yount (Justin Stacey), three great grandchildren, Arabella and Aubrielle Ramer, Lilith Stacey, two sisters Linda Altman (Pat), Tammy Leightley (Rick), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
Friends will be received on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Route 119, N., Indiana, PA 15701, with William Crawford officiating.
