A flash flood warning is now in effect for Indiana and parts of Westmoreland, Jefferson and Armstrong counties.
That warning from the National Weather Service is in effect until 2:30 this afternoon. Its Doppler radar indicated that thunderstorms producing a possible one to two inches of rain on top of the half to one inch of rain that’s already on the ground. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly, especially in flood prone areas, small creeks or streams, highways, urban areas, streets and underpasses.
People are advised that if they come across a flooded roadway to “turn around and don’t drown”.
