Last night, Indiana Borough Council approved a proposal for the Vinegar Hill Slope Stabilization Project.
The proposal from Verardi Landscapes in the amount of $146,500 was approved for the project after costs came in higher than estimated. Borough Manager Nicole Sipos said they were able to lower the costs and utilize some grant funding for the work.
Council also approved a resolution that approves the project scope and three-year borough-wide needs and priorities for the 2026 Community Development Block Grant. Sipos said that they are focusing on the Fisher Avenue area.
Council also approved two trick-or-treating events. One for Downtown Indiana on October 24th with a parade at 9:30 and trick-or-treating to run from 10 to Noon. The neighborhood trick-or-treating will be Halloween night from 6-8 PM.
