The Indiana County Tourist Bureau is inviting residents and visitors to take part in a new holiday contest.
The “Decorate Douglas” contest runs through November 15th at the Indiana County Welcome Center on Philadelphia Street.
Douglas Fir is a Christmas tree now on display at the Welcome Center, and participants can bring their own ornament to hang on him. The ornament can be homemade or store-bought, and both children and adults can participate. After hanging an ornament, participants can fill out a registration form to enter the contest.
A winner will be selected November 16th and will receive a place of honor on the Tourist Bureau’s float during the “It’s a Wonderful Life” Parade on November 20th.
Anyone with questions can contact the Tourist Bureau by calling 724-463-7505.
