At a meeting yesterday afternoon, the Indiana County planning commission accepted for review a proposed plan from Amazon for data centers at the Homer City Energy Campus.
AWS wants to build a 36-building, 1,100 acre data center campus at the center that spans Center and Black Lick Townships, along with ancillary office and storage space. Byron Stauffer with the Office of Planning and Development said while they accepted the plan for review, this is not a formal acceptance of the plan.
Starting today, the commission has 90 days to review the plan and to either approve it or reject it.
