The sentencing hearing for the man convicted of killing Barbara Bruzda was continued after his lawyer reported a breakdown in the attorney/client relationship.
The hearing for Ronald Weiss was scheduled before Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco this morning, but before the hearing, Weiss said something to his attorney, Taylor Malcom Johnson and presented him with a written request to step down as his attorney.
Peggy Bruzda, the wife of Barbara’s brother David, said that she was not surprised with what happened.
A new court-appointed attorney will be named after the paperwork is complete. The new sentencing hearing is set for November 20th at 8:30 AM.
