At its annual Medical Staff Meeting on Tuesday, two people were honored for their outstanding medical service, while three others were celebrated for their 20th year of service at IRMC. Ophthalmologist Dr. James Nesper was the recipient of the James A. Garrettson Physician Excellence Award. He has nearly 40 years of service in the medical field and has also offered his expertise to underserved communities in Honduras for many years, providing care and the hope of sight often at his own expense.
Certified Physician Assistant Allison Williams was given the Allied Health Practitioner Excellence Award. Williams has been with IRMC for over 20 years and has consistently demonstrated a commitment to patient care and to IRMC’s values.
The two were nominated by their colleagues and fellow hospital employees and selected by a dedicated committee.
Three others were recognized for their 20 years of service to IRMC. They include Anesthesiologist Dr. James Mulac, Family Medicine Dr. Amanda Vaglia and Pediatrician Dr. Christopher Vaglia.
