GIRLS BASKETBALL
Penns Manor and Marion Center played bonus basketball last night, needing overtime to decide a matchup of two of the top teams in the Heritage Conference. Todd Marino has the recap.(Penns Manor wins, 47-44 in OT.)
River Valley outpaced Homer-Center, 63-28. Kenady Kitner hit a three-pointer to start an 8-0 run at the outset. Ava Persichetti led the Panthers with 23 points, Maren Dunlap added 12 points and Alessia Lamantia led a high-pressure defense that produced numerous turnovers at the top of river Valley’s 2-1-2 zone. Becca Marshall led Homer-Center with 10.

WRESTLING
Indiana shocked Hampton, 48-30, with all of the wins by fall. Hunter Williams, Sean Parks,
Rowan Grantz, Carter Putt, Tuscan Blystone, Dominic Donatelli, Dominic Fanella, Jackson Higgins, and Dior Januario all pinned their opponents. Indiana is 4-4 and 1-1 in Section wrestling.
River Valley is 6-2 after beating Ligonier Valley 37-27. Winners by fall for the Panthers were Joel Micklow, Brody Houser, Chase Stuchal, and Levi Anthony. Tanner Flickinger won by technical fall and Kira Watt and Wyatt Taubler both won by major decision.
RIFLE
Indiana outshot Avella, 786-40x to 766-40x for their first win of the season. Top shooter for Indiana was Hunter Williams with a 100-6x.
