Fire crews were on the scene of a structure fire in Burrell Township this morning.
Indiana County 911 reports that Black Lick, Blairsville, Coral and Homer City fire departments along with Citizen’s Ambulance and the County HAZMAT team were called to a location on Main Street at 3:56 this morning. Coal Run fire department was initially dispatched for standby detail at the Black Lick fire department, but they would be called to the scene at 4:18 this morning. Clyde Fire Department would take over standby detail after that.
The fire is under control at this point. No word on how much damage was done to the house. Main Street is closed off as the water used to fight the fire has frozen on the roadway. No word on when the road will reopen. Two people and their pets have been displaced. The Salvation Army has been called in to assist the family.
State police fire marshals have been called in to investigate.
