Pitt trailed by 16 points in the first half but rallied to beat Syracuse, 80-69 behind 19 points each by Zack Ausin and Ish Leggett. The Panthers tied the game at 51 with 13:09 left in the game as the offense turned up the heat, shooting 62.5 percent from the field and hitting six three-pointers. Leggett’s three-pointer gave Pitt its first lead, 58-56 with 9:28 left.
Jaland Lowe returned from a concussion and scored 17 points and freshman Brandin Cummings has 11.
Pitt is 16-10, 7-8 in the ACC with a game coming up Saturday at Notre Dame.
