A Dayton man was sentenced yesterday in Indiana County Court for sexually assaulting a minor.
52-year-old William Piper of Dayton was ordered to serve up to 40 years in state prison on two counts each of sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault of someone under 13 along with one count of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse. The charges stemmed from incidents on New Year’s Day in 2001 and December 30th of 2007. He pleaded guilty to those crimes last November.
In June of 2024, he pleaded guilty to three counts of child endangerment for a case in Armstrong County and was already serving his prison sentence in that case.
