The Penguins could barely keep up with the swift Vegas Golden Knights last night, but they had two big aces in their deck…Sidney Crosby and Tristan Jarry. Paul Steigerwald has the story of an unlikely Penguins win.
Coach Mike Sullivan says Tristan Jarry stood tall in the net.
Sullivan says Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang continue to add to their legend.
The Penguins skated without newly-acquired forward Tommy Novak, who is “day-t0-day” with a lower body injury, and defenseman Ryan Shea, who signed a one-year $900,000 contract extension on Friday, also missed the game. He is “week-to-week” with an upper body injury. Defenseman Sebastian Aho and forward Matt Nieto were recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton under the NHL emergency replacement protocol.
The Pens will host St. Louis tomorrow night.
