The Pirates scored three runs in the 9th inning, including a walk-off solo home run by Javier Rivas for a 3-2 win over the Phillies in Bradenton. Thoams Harrington started the game and went 3-and-two-thirds innings, giving up just one hit, a solo home run in the first inning. David Bednar threw a perfect 5th inning for the Bucs, striking out two.

The Pirates made more roster moves yesterday, sending catcher Jason Delay to Indianapolis and assigning infielders Darick Hall and Alika Williams, infielder/outfielders Matt Gorski and Nick Solak, catcher Abrahan Guitierrez, outfielder Bryce Johnson, and pitcher Yohan Ramirez to minor league camp.
